ADVICES TO THE NEXT CLASS

Good Advises

I had the opportunity to take an English program "Experience America" at Kendall College  for one month.

The experience was amazing because I got to know about the most famous places here in Chicago as Millennium Park, Willis Tower, Navy Pier, Museums and the Shedd Aquarium...

I came to Chicago in January, so in preparing to pack I recommend that you bring clothes which can be worn in layers and a heavy jacket, hat, scarf, and gloves.

Although the scholarship is complete you need to bring money with  or a credit card because in many stores there are good clearance sales so you could buy presents for your family or friends.

Every morning you will have classes, in the afternoon you will visit beautiful and interesting places...

At Kendall College you will meet good people who will always willing to helping you.

Chicago History Museum

AN INTERESTING VISIT

Yesterday, I went to the Chicago History Museum.  Even though it wasn't large the experience was interesting. The Museum has the most important collection of materials related to local history. There are always things to do and see to learn and enjoy.

I learned about Abraham Lincoln's life and I could see different artifacts and photographs of Chicago history.  One that caught my attention was the Votes for Women's photo.

I've always liked old history of the countries. One of my favorite part of the visit was the Pioneer, the first locomative to operate in Chicago. It was know as L car #1.

The Museum offers a variety of programs, publications, and online resources related to Chicago and American history.  For that reason, other beautiful part of the visit was the exhibition Inspiring Beauty: 50 years of Ebony Fashion Fair, with beautiful dresses and accessories.

To be continued... (with other stories, lol)
